French Champagne - Henri Giraud Fût de Chêne

A robe tinged with a luminous gold that is rarely encountered. A sun-kissed golden hue, enriched by lemony highlights. Great intensity, with cooked fruits, apricots and grilled almonds, mingling to give an almost inexpressible bouquet. This is followed by very fine notes of leather and quince paste and a mineral quality. A nose of tremendous complexity, close to perfection. The initial, sharp impact gives way to shock as the wine’s power is revealed; broad, full, long and rich. Fleshy and concentrated, this is fabulous matter. Its acidity accompanies the wine from start to finish, giving it an exhilarating structure!

Depth and serenity, this wine is self-assured, perfectly in place. Wordy and cultured, it seems to want to tell us a story; its origins, its imaginary journeys, etc.

SERVING: In gastronomic terms, this goes well with almost every dish, as long as excess is avoided. To ensure it reaches its full dimension, it should be allowed to breathe for 10 minutes…at a temperature of around 12°.
